When will I receive my images?

For portrait sessions, you will receive your file within 21 days after the session date. For weddings, the turnaround time is 4-6 weeks.

Will the images I receive be watermarked?

In short, no. I personally just do not like how it looks. However, If a vendor I worked with asks me if they can put the images on their website, I MIGHT watermark them. Also, If you are posting a picture, I always appreciate it if you tag me! I love seeing which images my clients post, and love reposting them on my Instagram story.

Where do you live and how far will you travel?

I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and have a place in Conroe, Texas. But I will travel anywhere in the world! My most common session locations are Conroe, The Woodlands, Houston, College Station, Nashville, and Chattanooga.

Can you accommodate my last-minute session request?

If I have the date available, I would love to work with you!

What is your starting price for portraits?

All of my portrait sessions start at $500. If you would like more information, I would love to talk with you!

Can I receive the raw, unedited files?

I do not ever deliver unedited photos, I only want the best quality of pictures for you and for potential clients to see.

Should I practice posing?

It is not necessary. As the photographer, it is my job to pose and direct you!.

When is my portrait session booked?

I require a signed contract, and a 50% non-refundable retainer fee, to hold your session date + time.

Will I own the images from my session?

Although you will have printing rights, be able to post and share the images on your social media accounts, Sophie Boivin Photography retains the copyright for your images. I update my portfolio often, and might use the images for advertisement purposes. If you are uncomfortable with me using the images for my marketing, we can discuss other options.

What should I wear for engagement pictures?

Deciding on the perfect outfit doesn't have to be as stressful as you think. I put together an outfit guide that you can find here.

If I need to cancel, is the retainer refundable?

The purpose of the retainer is to lock in your date + time. If you cancel last minute, I could have booked someone else during that period. I do not write anything down in my calendar until the retainer has been paid, making your desired time up for grabs. Nothing is booked until the retainer has been paid.

What happens if you are sick/the weather is crazy?

If the weather is crazy/someone is sick/etc., you can put your retainer towards a reschedule.

If we are running late, will you stay later than you scheduled?

The session time will not change if you are running late. Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the session starts.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I understand that weddings are expensive, that is why I offer customizable payment plans.

How many images will I receive?

For weddings, I deliver 50 edited images per hour.

​

How far in advance should I book a wedding photographer?

I suggest booking a wedding photographer right after you book a venue. A lot of couples book someone 1.5 years in advance. It is always better to book a photographer sooner than later. 

​

What happens if you're sick on my wedding day?

If that for some reason ends up happening, which it has not,(knocks on wood) I will find and secure a replacement photographer with a similar style.
